Experience You Can Count On

The most important thing to know about me is that I am tenacious in my commitment in supporting entrepreneurs, freelancers and managers expand their leadership. You could be running your own business or working for a large corporation, you have an opportunity to unleash your voice and your contribution.. I know it takes courage and bravery to go after your dreams. The road can be lonely at times.

This is what I want you to know. You can do it. I know, you have heard that before. You even tell yourself that on a regular basis. I am your Amen corner. You can do it. Whatever it is for you. I am a firm believer that your greatness is already in you. Your job is to discover and nurture it. That starts with you honoring your unique contribution to everything you put your hand to. The world needs what you have. Your authentic voice is key.

I also believe that the canvas we have in front of us is available for our creation. Playing the victim, blaming others or not getting up when you fall is not useful. When you take 100% responsibility for the way your life looks right now, you regain your power. You then have both hands on the steering wheel of your life. It is important that we lose our fascination with our elaborate excuses. If we turned our drama and excuses into a movie, we wouldn’t watch it every day. We can turn the channel and create something that excites us and brings us joy. Playing the victim is not sexy.

That being said, let me give you a glimpse into my journey.

My family moved to Hawaii when I was 9 and I lived there until I graduated from the University of Hawaii. My life in Hawaii seasons everything for me. You will find that I have the laid-back style that is common in Hawaii and the intensity of a professional that was responsible for large teams and international accountabilities in Los Angeles.

I worked in accounting, finance and taxation for years out of college.  One of my favorite jobs was managing millions dollars as the Treasurer of  an international  entertainment company. That was fun. When my son entered high school, I knew I needed more flexibility in my work schedule in order to go to his games and enjoy his last years at home, so I started selling real estate. I was a recognized nationally for my success. I went on to get my broker’s license and start a boutique real estate firm focused on investors. That was lucrative until the market crashed. That was a season of testing my emotional intelligence.

While I worked, I was teaching leadership courses for an international personal and professional development company for 15 years. That is where I honed my speaking and coaching skills.

I now have clients from various walks of life with businesses in various stages of development.  My stand for leadership expanding is at the heart of all that I do.
